The Play Farm

Unit 18, The Brewery, Cheltenham, GL50 4FA

Child on SlideParents in need of a place for their children to expel some energy in a safe environment may find the Play Farm in Cheltenham highly appealing. Situated within the Brewery, a large leisure complex in the centre of Cheltenham, the Play Farm is an indoor soft-play structure and café, which has been in operation since 2010.

Features

The Play Farm is a farm themed soft play structure with a climbing area and slides for children to explore safely. There is a designated area for babies and toddlers with soft toys and ball pits to enjoy away from the more active older children.

Throughout the year, the Play Farm hosts seasonal events such as Halloween themed parties and Christmas specials. During term time on weekdays, toddler mornings are held with all children under 5 being entitled to the discounted rate of £2.50, which includes a drink and a snack. There are regular after school discos for older children, as well.

The Dairy Café serves food between 10am and 5.15pm every day. Parents sitting at the tables have a good view of the play area and can relax with refreshments whilst keeping an eye on their children. The café serves hot breakfasts until 11am, and thereafter, a range of sandwiches, jacket potatoes, salads and toasties.

There is a good selection of hot drinks and a number of tempting cakes on display. Furthermore, there is free Wi-Fi, allowing parents to browse the Internet whilst their children are enjoying everything that the Play Farm has to offer. The Play Farm is also available for birthday parties and exclusive hire is also an option. Check the official website for prices, which include food, drink and party favours.

Getting There

The Brewery complex is just off Henrietta Street, in the heart of the Cheltenham town centre. There are various restaurants within the Brewery itself and the High Street is just a 2-minute walk away. The central location means it is an ideal stopping point for families with children on a visit to the regency centre of Cheltenham.

There is a large NCP car park opposite the Brewery, as well as several other car parks within the town centre. Alternatively, two park and ride services are in operation in Cheltenham with free bus services directly to the centre. A bus stop is approximately a 3-minute walk from the Brewery.

Opening Times and Cost

The Play Farm is open every day, except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. It is open between 10am and 5pm. However, the Play Farm is frequently booked for private parties where it is then closed to the public, and therefore, visitors are advised to check with the operators before their visit.

Adults accompanying children are given free entry into the Play Farm with prices for children varying by their age. The Play Farm is not suitable for children over the age of 12 and there is a maximum height restriction of 148 cm.
