Part of a small chain of budget hotels, the Citrus Hotel Cheltenham by Compass Hospitality – formerly known as the Big Sleep Hotel – provides quirky but comfortable accommodation at a low cost. Located on Wellington Street, the hotel provides excellent access to Cheltenham’s central attractions. The Imperial Square and Gardens are close by, as is the Promenade and the main high street. Housed in what was once former office accommodation, the Citrust Hotel is unlike other budget accommodation chains. Inside, guests will find bright and colourful décor and post-modern furnishings with 59 rooms in total, all of which have en-suite facilities. Suites are also available that include a small kitchenette for meal preparation. Family suites include bunk beds for children and extra beds and cots can be provided, although charges do apply. For increased value, group rooms are available that host a number of single beds and may appeal to hen or stag parties.

All rooms include a television, a telephone, a mini safe, and tea and coffee making facilities. A desk and chair are included and Wi-Fi is available for an added charge. Rooms are colourful and furnished in an ultra-contemporary style.

Restaurant and Bar

Included in the cost of the room is breakfast, which is served in a uniquely stylish dining room. Cereals, pastries and yogurts are served alongside hot options such as bacon, sausages and eggs. There is a small bar within the hotel that is open to hotel residents 24-hours a day, where snacks are also served.
