Lots to do in and around Cheltenham.

Lots to do in and around Cheltenham. We visited Bourton on the Water and would have liked to have seen more in that area. Seems lots to do in Cheltenham in the evenings and some nice boutique type shops. Definitely visit again for a little longer.

My partner and I really enjoyed Cheltenham, we went out to the town hall for a great Motown night, then we had drinks in a local bar that was full of very friendly people of all ages groups. Our accommodation for the night was great in every way, the staff was very welcoming and it's a perfect location for easy access to the town center. We will definitely return in the future and we would fully recommend it.

Some areas of central Cheltenham are lovely and others, much less so. The more genteel areas have a wide range of places to eat that will suit all tastes. There are some lovely parks. Street parking with a permit is a bit of a lottery. You may be lucky to find a spot in your zone but this could be some distance from your accommodation.

Cheltenham is a Regency town with an excellent choice of restaurants and bars and a good base to explore the Cotswolds , one of England's most beautiful areas . The town is also a conference and events centre , with literary and jazz festivals and horse racing being the most popular events For those of you with an appreciation of architecture , it is a treasure trove of Regency and Gothic styles . Visitors with an interest in the history of Aviation are strongly recommended to visit the Jet Age museum nearby https://jetagemuseum.org/about-us/ For Railway enthusiasts the GWSR is a must .Travel 18 miles in comfort to Broadway from the Racecourse and enjoy the town at your leisure www.gwsr.com

Its a lovely town, We were lucky to see a show at the Everyman Theatre, which is a beautiful provincial theatre - Cheltenham is lucky to have it but it was full up on the Tuesday night we visited. We were saddened to see so many empty shops and especially that the huge Cavendish House store is closing, which will have a depressing effect on the town centre. There were lots of very nice looking restaurants and bars. We would love to visit again and spend more time looking around.

Cheltenham is a lovely historic town with plenty to see and do. There is loads of choice for dining and drinking and lots of unique shopping outlets making the place stand out compared to most towns. I can’t say whether younger people would rate the place as highly but the majority of residents and visitors we met were older generation and very pleasant . We attended an Elkie Brooks gig at the Town Hall which was a great experience in a lovely building. I would estimate the average age of attendees as 70+. So that confirms the target demographic of the town.

Loved the fact that they sorted out the bedroom for the three of us so it was comfortable to sleep. The room had enough space to manage for the night. Very convenient for the bus into Cheltenham town centre. Free bottles of water. Jake was fantastic! I was not feeling well at 3:30am in the morning and he looked after me very well. Please do not lose him! He would be one reason to come back. Breakfast on the go was good too. Good balance for us. Appreciated the hot mushroom toastie and the machine in the lobby for our teas and coffee.

The staff were very pleasant and the location we chose within proximity to an event we were attending. Local Spa Taxis provided an excellent service to and from our event in nearby Prestbury. We walked into the town centre as our room was not ready and that took around 25 minutes each way. However there were plenty of shops and eateries etc in the centre of Cheltenham.

This was one of the best nights stays we have had, a group of 4 businessmen working in Cheltenham. Could not book 4 hotel rooms in the same hotel due to Races. After this stay we would book again without hesitation. Perfect location in the city centre. Sharing a house was much more relaxing than hotel cars and restaurants.
