North of Cheltenham, on the edge of Cheltenham Racecourse, you will find the magnificent Ellenborough Park country estate spa and hotel. Originally built in the 1500s, the building underwent renovations and additions in the 19th century, shaping it into what you see today. The building is now a luxurious 62-bedroom hotel with a selection of lovely restaurants, a chic bar and deluxe spa facilities.

Accommodation

A range of rooms are available, which all come well equipped with a TV, a phone, an alarm clock, a desk, a chair, tea and coffee making facilities and free Wi-Fi throughout. Rooms are individually decorated with antique style furnishings reflecting the grandeur of the building. Some rooms even have private patios, upstairs bathrooms, roll-top baths or large walk-in showers.

Restaurants and Bars

The Beaufort Dining Room is the more formal on-site restaurant at Ellenborough Park and is masterfully led by head chef, David Kelman, who has been featured on the BBC’s “Great British Menu”. The A La Carte menu features classic and contemporary dishes using locally sourced ingredients. The hotel even boasts the availability of over 500 different wines on their extensive list. For more informal dining, the Brasserie is another option and offers items such as sandwiches and burgers in a more relaxed environment.

Afternoon tea, of course, is also available and can be served in either the Great Hall or on the terrace. And, for that extra special occasion, guests can even arrange access to the private dining room at Ellenborough Park for an entire evening.

Additional Facilities and Services

Luxury spa and leisure facilities are available at this hotel and highly recommended. The spa has a range of treatments on offer, as well as an outdoor heated pool, gym, steam room, sauna and hot tub. Spa packages are also available and include treatments, which can then be followed by refreshments, such as lunch or afternoon tea.

The hotel is conveniently located within the Cotswolds with the Cheltenham Racecourse in close proximity and a private shuttle provided on race days. The estate is also one of the highest points in the Cotswolds and is, therefore, ideal for long walks to explore the countryside with the Cotswolds Way trail being only a short distance away.

Lastly, the hotel can host business events for up to 120 people and civil weddings and wedding receptions for up to 250 people.
