Ten miles south of Cheltenham, surrounded by woodlands, streams and hills, lies the village of Painswick. With its famous Grade I listed Norman church and the Grade I listed Court House Manor, Painswick offers extravagant and luxurious accommodation, such as the Court House Manor Bed and Breakfast.

Just outside of Painswick is the Rocco Garden – a fine example of 18th century theatrical landscaped gardens. Also, the Cotswolds Commons and Beachwoods National Nature Reserve (a designated site of special scientific interest) are just a short drive from the hotel. And, to the South, you will find the market town of Stroud, with Cheltenham itself just a short drive away.

Accommodation

Court House Manor has a fascinating history with past guests including Charles I! Rooms are presented in a traditional style that reflects the rich heritage of the building, with luxurious drapes, large comfortable beds and exposed beams. All rooms have an en-suite or a private bathroom, a television and DVD player, as well as a tea and coffee making facility. Whilst free Wi-Fi is provided, coverage throughout the entire accommodation is not possible due to the thickness of the walls.

Guests can choose which part of the hotel they would like to stay in. The main part of the hotel – the Manor House – offers a range of seven rooms with suites also available. Separate from the house is the Barn, which is a self-contained unit with an equipped kitchen and its own outdoor area. The Hamlet is another self-contained unit within a gazebo that has its own sauna. Furthermore, Courtside – a separate stone building – has a further four rooms that are all decorated in the same luxurious style, but still allows guests full access to the main building.

Breakfast

Within the Manor House, guests have access to the library, kitchen, chess room and breakfast room. Here the hotel serves up fresh and tasty continental and traditional English breakfasts each morning.

Additional Facilities and Services

For larger parties and events, Court House Manor is available for exclusive hire, giving guests access to the entire property. This includes the large family room with a 3D television, the outdoor hot tub, the snooker room and a grand dining room.
