Located on the eastern edge of Cheltenham on the A40, near the Dowdeswell Reservoir and Wood, this charming hotel offers a guests a warm welcome from its owners, Stuart and Lin, who live on site. The Charlton Kings is approximately two miles away from the centre of Cheltenham and free parking is provided for hotel users.

The hotel is very close to the Cotswolds Way trail making it an excellent choice for walkers following the route and in need of overnight accommodation. The immaculately maintained grounds provide a charming setting to this conveniently located and friendly hotel.

Accommodation

There are 14 rooms present that consist of Classic Doubles, Superior Twin/Doubles (larger rooms), Singles and one Triple room that has three single beds. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, either with a shower or a shower over bath, tea and coffee trays, TVs, desks and chairs, and free Wi-Fi is provided.

Each room is uniquely decorated with its own colour scheme. It should be noted that some rooms have sloped roofs and may not be suitable for everyone. It is advisable to contact the hotel in advance if you wish to discuss this further.

For travellers wanting to bring their pets, the Charlton Kings hotel welcomes dogs in the property, though they do advise that pet owners book one of the larger Superior rooms in order to have adequate space. Furthermore, please note that dogs are not permitted in the dining area and must not be left in the hotel when guests leave to go out.

Restaurant & Bar

There is a small restaurant and bar on site offering a breakfast and dinner service with a limited menu offering traditional English food. Breakfast is cooked to order and English and Continental options are provided. The bar holds a small selection of wines and bottled beer. Guests can also relax in the conservatory or the substantial garden.
